THE NATIONAL FIRE INFORMATION COUNCIL
Fighting Fire with Facts
NFIRS 5.0
National Fire Incident Reporting System Version 5

The United States Fire Administration (USFA) will no longer certify vendor transaction files for the NFIRS 5.0. The USFA will instead maintain a list of fire software vendors that have registered with the USFA to obtain NFIRS 5.0 development materials and the vendor validation tool.

Vendors who have notified the USFA when their product development has completed and has been tested to be compatible with the national NFIRS 5.0 database standard will be marked as "Active" and placed on the Active Vendor List. This new status will supercede the previous two status categories of "conditionally certified" and "fully certified". Click HERE

The Quick Reference Guide is a condensed version of the NFIRS 5.0 Handbook, without graphics and illustrated examples of how to complete sections of the form. The full guide should be ready later this month.
